This September’s Accessories Trend and other blablas (French for ‘chatting’)

I was walking on Avenue Montaigne this Vogue Fashion’s Night when I saw all these fashionistas (I confess to be a fashionista, myself) looking at, if not to say admiring, Vogue France Fashion editors Emmanuelle Alt, Géraldine Saglio, Célia Azoulay, and Véronique Didry, and models among other Natasha Poly, Isabelli Fontana, and Anja Rubik. I noticed that all of these voguette were in black. Véronique Didry, for instance, known for her simple, boyish, but very chic style, wore a black hat. She impressed me once again and as usual with her boyish style.

(As you can see I need to repair my lamented Nikon D70 for greater pictures). I have the same in brown. You can find it at H&M. You can wear it with everything, a dress for instance, while it looks a bit boyish. As for the shoes, I will opt for something like brogues that you can find from H&M to Robert Clergerie. I really need one… Some suggestions: H&M Brogues, Balenciaga Silver Derbys (French for ‘Brogues’), and Robert Clergerie Brogues. But there are many more…

Now, let’s move onto Géraldine Saglio, who is one of my favorite fashion editors (with Taylor Tomasi-Hill, Mélanie Huynh, Giovanna Bottaglia, and, and Anna Dellor Russo), in total black, of course, wore a Aurélie Bidermann Snake Necklace, according to what I heard (and I am sure it is).

I have already blogged on this precious — much wanted — snake collection but I have not included the ‘collier’ (French for ‘necklace’). Géraldine Saglio’s snake Necklace was in gold on a black top. Believe me it was so beautiful.

This apart, I was working on a September’s Trend for this blog. Pumps, Hats, necklaces, bags from under $100 up to… Anyway… are what we must wear. That will be the occasion to discover a new Jewelry designer that I love so much…

Valérie Messika. I discovered her in a French magazine, certainly in Jalouse’s this September issue. And I fell in love, I confess. Not exclusively for her snake collection, but for all her jewels. Apart from Valérie Messika’s snake necklace, I am in love with, and this is not a surprise, Pierre Hardy’s Circle Sandals, Proenza Schouler’s Multi-Strap Sandals, Zara Patchwork Court Shoe, Elizabeth and James Wedge, and Balenciaga Escarpins (French for ‘Pump’ or ‘Court shoes’). I bought the H&M calf Hat but in Burgundy and I am planning to purchase the beige and the bag. But I confess to have on target this Emilio Pucci Calf Felt Hat (not yet blogged but soon). And what to think of the ‘indémodable’ (French for ‘Perennially fashionable’) Gérard Darel Midday Midnight Bag? (maybe hard to find in the U.S.…) and the Prada Gaufré Maxi Clutch? This September is announced to be very cool maybe to shift slowly but surely (doucement mais sûrement) into fall.

By the way, I received a pair of sunglasses from my mother, a vintage Emilio Pucci one she wore in the late 60’s that I will wear this fall and winter. I saw in a 2003 Vogue France, Sigrid de l’Épine, who had been responsible for Public Relations and Patrimony at Balenciaga for years and now works for Chanel Couture, wore a similar pair of sunglasses by Old England.

Those designers:

Valérie Messika

H&M

Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière

Proenza Schouler

Zara

Aurélie Bidermann

Pierre Hardy

Gérard Darel

Elizabeth and James

Prada

Emilio Pucci

Get the Look #1: clutch, dress, jewels, nail lacquer for green sandals

In Bags, Fashion, Jewelry, Nail polishes, Shoes on August 30, 2011 at 12:51 pm

We are now closed to the end of August (unfortunately or not). Shoes are the key of this look #1: a pair of sandals in green crystal by Jimmy Choo. Following the post that announced green as the color for this forthcoming fall season, here is a suggestion to compose the perfect, if not one of, style: a white dress (H&M), a clutch in black (Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière, Jimmy Choo, and Proenza Schouler), jewels (Aurélie Bidermann), and a greeny-gold on nails (Chanel makeup), including this pair of sandals in green crystal (Jimmy Choo) for a fresh feel.
